I'm not a big fan of Dapper Bill's Delights, but we have mostly Win2K
systems at work, and other than the Eternally L-O-N-G boot time, they
are quite reliable. Usually the only flaky software is Outlook. One
or more of the Outlook servers locks up regularly. One of the keys to
reliability is this: mine is a laptop which travels to and fro with
me, so it gets booted regularly. I haven't seen an admin since my
laptop was delivered a couple of years back. I'm sure I wouldn't be
as happy if the machine stayed powered on continuously. Fortunately,
our admins do a bang up job of keeping our machines up to date with
virus protect data. so virii are few and far between.
