screensaver question

Thanks for getting back to me.  I looked at the scripts that you mentioned and it seems like they are correct and, in fact,  /etc/X11/xfce/xinitrc tries to start xscreensaver.  However, it is not running when I log in.  I tried starting xscreensaver at the command line with the same args as found in /etc/X11/xfce/xinitrc.  This is what happened:

kellwood at delos:~ > xscreensaver: unknown option "-lock-mode".  Try "-help".

[1]+  Exit 1                  xscreensaver -no-splash -lock-mode

Perhaps the "-lock-mode" is outdated.  I am running xscreensaver version 4.02.  I'll just remove the "-lock-mode" option.
