Problems with the menu in xfce

Hi,

i hope someone here may help me. sry I'm a linux newb.

I use Debian woody and have installed the xfce package via dselect.

Xfce works but i can't see the menupanel. The only thing i get is a
small box in the right bottom corner and when i click on it then i can
log off X. The other possibility is to change the clock settings but i
can't see any clock.

Do i need some other packages to show this menu or what did i wrong ????

If you need more information please tell me i will give you everything
you need.

The normal context menu vie left mouse click works fine but not the
panel.
