still having Zombie problems

Hi all,

Mandrake 8.2, xfce 3.8.18.1 compiled from Edscott's src.rpm with
--enable-xft & --disable-taskbar. xfce_upgrade was run to upgrade from
3.8.16.2 which was exhibiting the same problem.

Programs launched from xfce (including startup programs like xfmouse)
will consistently zombie on exit. Programs launched from the desktop
menu (xfwm) or from a shell work fine. KDE shows no such symptoms.

Here's a segment of pstree with status inserted:
xfwm-+-esd			(running)

     |      |-xfmouse		(zombie)

Here's the weird thing: I tried to get a backtrace with gdb, and a new
xfce launched from within gdb from within xterm doesn't have the problem
-- only the one that was launched from xfwm does it.
