newbie: problem installing xfce - returns to gdm

Sessiondirectory is called 'Session' instead of Xsession as you
suggests. But I don't find any references to 'Xsession' in either of the
to files you have sent me, so I suppose this doesn't matter?

 But XFce won't start anyway.

 Any other suggestions?
