I should probably also introduce myself, since I've started adding some
minor translations to nn_NO (might also do some minor corrections on
nb_NO when I find them). I've helped with translations here and there
for various projects (lately OwnCloud, ColorHug, Minitube). I try to
keep to the guidelines for Norwegian FOSS translations defined at
http://i18n.skulelinux.no/retningslinjer.html. 

Other than that, I've worked a lot on machine translation with the
Apertium project (though my day job is for a company which, among other
things, creates grammar checkers). And yes, I do use machine translation
for po-file editing, but only between nb_NO and nn_NO. When nn is more
or less empty and nb is more or less complete, it saves a lot of time,
and since Apertium is rule-based, the errors are quite predictable. But
there _are_ errors, I'd guess in about every third translation (although
I haven't done any real evaluation on po-files yet). I use pology's
pomtrans ( http://wiki.apertium.org/wiki/Translating_gettext#Pology ),
which only uses stuff marked non-fuzzy to translate, only translates
previously untranslated stuff, and marks everything that came from MT as
fuzzy to ensure that you don't just upload something that came straight
out of MT.


Although I've edited a lot of po files, I haven't used Transifex much.
There are some things that bug me, which I hope someone else here has
workarounds for:

1. When there's no nn_NO po-file for some project at all, there's no
button that I can see for "add a blank nn_NO po-file", so I have to
download the .pot file and then upload it as nn.po (which includes
actually typing in a path like po/nn.po, which sounds a bit too
freeform, haven't tried what happens if I mistype). Or is there such a
button?

2. How do I get a list of _all_ projects on the Transifex installation
that are missing (or have incomplete) nn_NO translations? 

Other than that, I think Transifex works quite well, although I prefer
my emacs ;)
