[Xfce-i18n] Emacs with po-mode

Hi,

I am using emacs with po-mode to translate xfce. I just have one small
problem: When I insert <TAB> it becomes a bunch of spaces, and not \t.
Does anyone know how to get the \t in there? BTW <NEWLINE> gets replaced
with \n as it should.
