Dbh is already implemented and I have been using it for a long time with
a great deal of success. It might sound and look similar to gdbm, but
the way dbh goes about its business is better and faster, AFAICT. So
making it OS should be a "good thing" (TM. J.K.). Besides, the name DBH
might be a little misleading, but "Multidimensional homogeneous
datatrees (mhd)" wouldn't have as much sex appeal. Furthermore, I'm also
extending dbh as part of my phd project, so it's like killing two stones
with one bird.
