I'm sorry I speak very very bad english :-( But don't worry for the reply's I understand 99% ;-) I'm need translate Xfce to french or/and spanish ... not at all ... only menu bars of applications and some icon text. I need little help to translate Xftree. No developper help ... don't worry I'm developper too ...not problem to edit code ... compile recompile ...etc. My only problem is "where are the text to translate?" I can do a simple sed -e 's/file/fichier/g' on some file??? You have a different files for i10n? ... is somebody working in translations? Somebody can help me? But I probably didn'tt keep up with Edscott's latest changes to xftree so there are probably some strings that are not translated. That said, xfce use GNU gettext for translation. Make sure you've set your env variable LANG to fr_FR and that should be okay. If you want to learn how to make translations using gettext, have a look at po/fr.po Cheers, Olivier. It's only I'm a qt friendly i'm familiar with qtlinguist ... and I don't find /translations in your project ;-) -- Je repete ?a en fran?ais car mon anglais est penible :-( - Ok. c'est tres simple ... mais tout le travail vous l'avez deja fait ... ou presque :-) Moi je suis familiarise avec qtlinguist ... et je ne savais pas s'il y avait un outil pareil pour gtk ... je croyais qu'il fallait compiler avec les traduccions sur une line du genre " --with-lang-fr " mais je ne trouvais pas la fa?on de le faire.
