xftree ready for release

Xftree is ready for the 3.8.18 release. The bugs described before have
been fixed. The memory leak which caused crashes in Linux was actually
referencing a null pointer in reg.c, AFAIK. The problem with hangs in
FreeBSD was actually data in a pipe not being flushed (hence xftree
hanged on a read()). A solution was very simple. Send a heartbeat to
unclog the pipe when necesary (fflush() wasn't working).
