For some reason I dont understand yet, the "area taken by your mouse-pointer"
seems to be increased. So that your mouse pointer directly is located on the
first item. Possibly you did some costumization related to the active mouse
area ?

- You are using some high-res monitor ? (Possibly "active mouse area" is
different there)

- Does it always happen, or just sometimes ? (Possibly it is related to your
mouse sensitivity .. on the other hand, the distance from mouse pointer to
context menu seems to be the same for e.g. thunar and nautilus )

- You mentioned other file managers for which it did not heppen. Which file
managers you tried ? Does it happen for nautilus ?
