Thanks for  reporting !

This is a known bug for thunar 1.6.x (see linked bugreport )

Please upgrade to thunar 1.8.x which does not show this bug any more.

You as well can build thunar 1.6.x from source and apply the Patch from Bug
#14216 which should fix the problem.

For 1.6.x no further releases will be done, because distros already now dont
use the most recent releases of the 1.6 branch.
