Yes, sorry "backing file" was meant to be "fake_storage_file".

The sector size is 512, but fdisk should also report the starting sector of the
"partition/file" in the "Start" column, in most cases it should be 2048, so
512*2048=1048516 which is the starting byte we give to losetup.

Be wary that you need to remove the kernel module before suspending your
computer, or you may end up having the fake usb device blocking the entire
system, requiring a hard reboot!
Sorry for the confusion. I haven't had time to look more into it yet but I sure
love learning more about gdb. ;)
