            Bug ID: 15978
Summary: Fixed width or separate font for the clock
    Classification: Xfce Core
           Product: Xfce4-panel
           Version: 4.14.0
          Hardware: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: Medium
         Component: Clock
          Assignee: xfce-bugs at xfce.org
          Reporter: den_lin at posteo.de
  Target Milestone: Panel 4.14

I have the clock in format "%d %a %T", so I have seconds displayed. When the
time changes from, say 20.32.00 to 20.32.01, the whole panel to the left of the
clock jitters left and right. Since most digits in non-monospace fonts have
different widths, it happens almost every second. This could be fixed by giving
the clock a fixed width (but there is no such option) or using a monospace
font, but it does not look nice having a monospace font for the whole UI.

So, could we please have the clock with a fixed width or the possibility to set
a monospace font for the clock separately from the font used for the rest of
the UI?
