I'm seeing this too for example given the output of "file"

shader-mask: ELF 64-bit LSB pie executable, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV),
dynamically linked, interpreter /lib/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2,
BuildID[sha1]=703feee0dbb803785df6c6b144e83c7461633bf7, for GNU/Linux 3.2.0,
with debug_info, not stripped

looking in a Thunar window I see "shared library"

This means I am unable to execute this binary using thunar...
