The backtrace is a beginning, though it does not help too much in this case..
Looks like for some unknown reason there is rubbish in "node". There is even a
NULL check, which seems not to help.

Another possibility would be, that between the NULL check and line 604  "node"
got invalid.

I am sorry, I cannot reproduce the bug in order to properly debug it. My USB
hard drive is unmounting just fine in tree-view

Does this bug trigger for you on each unmount ?
Do you unmount it by pressing "unmount" in thunar for the context menu ?
