Thanks for reporting !

I cannot reproduce the bug .. neither with thunar 1.6.17, nor with latest 4.14
branch or master. Tried with icon and tree-view.

Could you please try if the bug still happens for you on thunar 1.8.9 ?
(Ideally try as well to compile thunar master )
