I have installed the devel version of xfce4-panel on a XFCE 4.14 desktop, so it
may not be relevant.

But I have issues with the new autohide animation.

Here is one of the issues that I can always reproduce:
- empty desktop and default layout
- open a window that doesn't overlap the bottom panel
- move the window towards the bottom panel and trigger the animation
- quickly remove the window before the animation is completed

Expected results:
- the panel goes up

Actual results:
- the panel goes up
- the autohide animation starts again immediately
- these two steps can recur several times
- the panel goes beyond the bottom of the screen
