            Bug ID: 15555
Summary: xfdesktop 4.12->4.13/git regression for xrandr 1.5
                    features
    Classification: Xfce Core
           Product: Xfdesktop
           Version: 4.13.4
          Hardware: All
                OS: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Medium
         Component: General
          Assignee: xfce-bugs at xfce.org
          Reporter: jim.duchek at gmail.com
  Target Milestone: Xfce 4.14

I have a setup wherein I'm using xrandr 1.5 --setmonitor features to 'split' a
4k monitor into 5 'monitors'. xfdesktop 4.12 handled this (mostly) as expected
-- one can even setup different backgrounds for each 'monitor'. xfdesktop 4.13
(as well as the current git) does not. Only the first 'monitor' gets
right-click menus, a background, icons, etc - the rest is just grey. The
window manager still maximizes windows correctly to the virtual 'monitor', and
the panel still stretches across multiple 'monitors' as it's supposed to.
Downgrading only xfdesktop reverts the issue (However, I am running xfwm and
xfpanel 4.12.X -- as these are still in the archlinux main repository. Have
not experimented to see if 4.13.X versions break the XRandR support in those as
well, will follow up on that.)

I suspect this _may_ be related to bug #15116 -- I would be interested to see
his results for xrandr --listmonitors

To reproduce (on a 3840x2160 monitor), before xfce is started:

  xrandr --setmonitor HDMI-00 1280/266x960/200+0+0 HDMI-0
  xrandr --setmonitor HDMI-01 1280/266x960/200+1280+0 none
  xrandr --setmonitor HDMI-02 1280/266x960/200+2560+0 none
  xrandr --setmonitor HDMI-03 1920/400x1200/250+0+960 none
  xrandr --setmonitor HDMI-04 1920/400x1200/250+1920+960 none

This is the precise setup I use, however, it is reproducible with only a single
'split'.
