I get no crashes here with gtk 3.24.10 and glib 2.60.6, which versions are you
using? And which screenshooter version?

And may create a memory leak, not a big deal now that screenshooter doesn't
allow retries or is not a daemon, yet a bad practice to remove clean-up code
without understanding what's wrong.
