Sorry, I have no idea how to get the dubugging symbols installed on Fedora.  If
you could tell me how to do this, I love to run a trace for you.

This issue is really easy to reproduce yourself.

1) plug an MTP device, like yo cell phone into your computer

2) open thunar and click on the MTP device.  It will come down around your
ears.

3)  If you open Thunar a second tie and  click on the MTP device it will work.
