There is a ongoing discussion on Bug #12414 which possibly is related.

Please check if you have the file:
/usr/share/dbus-1/services/org.freedesktop.File Manager1.service
( or possibly org.xfce.Thunar.FileManager1.service )

If so, removing this file and than re-login should preliminary fix your
problem.

My guess is, that some other FileManager as well claims the same DBus Service.
I'll check what I can do about it.

Do you get this message at startup ? Or on every thunar launch ? Or only if you
use the org.freedesktop.FileManager1 service ?
