Run the following command and follow the steps:

$ GTK_DEBUG=interactive mousepad

1) Double click on GtkSettings
2) Select 'Properties'
3) Scroll down to gtk-xft-antialias

Now check if toggling the "Enable anti-aliasing" option changes the value in
the GTK+ Inspector.
