You can use: sleep 5; xfce4-screenshooter -f
Once the screenshot is taken select "Open with: GIMP" (or whatever image
editing app you fancy) then crop the selection you need.

I'm not saying screenshooter will never have an option to edit screenshots, but
I'm not motivated to implement this because we may start with a cropping
option, then people will want to draw red rectangles, then arrows, then text,
then emojis.... In the end, screenshooter will have its own built-in gimp and
that goes against the "do one thing and do it well" philosophy that is more or
less followed by Xfce.
