sweet. finally, i manage to provide you with some useful info. i can confirm
that i always do run two thunar windows at the same time. hence that might be a
requirement for the bug to occur. however, i never close one of the windows, as
the steps above show.

following your steps, at least for the first time, i got a CRITICAL error, but
no crash:
