I can confirm this behaviour with Thunar 1.6.14:

Copying the path from the address bar does not work if one or more files are
selected.

This works:
-Open thunar, go to address bar (Ctrl+L), select full path (Ctlr+A), copy it
with hotkey Ctrl+C to the clipboard
=> path of the folder is copied to clipboard 

However this does not work:
-Open thunar, select on or more files, go to address bar (Ctrl+L), select full
path (Ctlr+A), copy it with hotkey Ctrl+C to the clipboard.
=> path of the folder ist not copied. Instead the paths of all selected files
are copied.
