This bug reminds of Bug #14229.
If we were to make some improvement, I can only think of:
1) Display an alert dialog, I don't like it, too much intrusive.
2) Scroll to the first occurrence of conflict, I'm not sure this is enough for
some people to understand what's wrong.
3) Add GtkIconBar to Renamer dialog and show it in case of conflict.

2 & 3 are good enough IMHO.
Since this is an improvement, we'll eventually introduce it in 1.8.x, not in
1.6.x.
