I just ran that iso in a VM, the culprit seems to be the cursor theme (default
-> win8), when I changed to "Paper" it worked as expect. By the way, this
cursor theme (win8) seems to be rather broken, even when you try to resize a
window you can notice the cursor is flipped.

Closing, reopen if you're still have problems.
