Thanks for the coredump, but no luck so far .. tried to build thunar 1.8.1 from
source with debug symbols and run it with your coredump in gdb.

If you as well upload your thunar-binary, I could take another try with it,
strip off the debug symbols from my own binary and load them into gdb together
with your binary (command add-symbol-file) ... no idea if there is a chance
that this will work  ;)   But hey, it will not hurt either ;)

For me the binary  is located here:  "/usr/local/bin/thunar".
