thanks a lot for detailed instructions. the easy approach was easy indeed. (`$
coredumpctl dump 25007 | zip > coredump.zip`) however, the coredump file became
22.5 mb so was unable to attach it to this issue:

if this doesn't give you sufficient information do let me know. then i will try
the "not so easy approach".

i don't know if it is of any use, but below is output of `coredumpctl` which
gives you an overview of the frequency of the thunar crashes (and other faults
that have occurred).
