Sorry, I can't reproduce with 1.6.12 nor current master (soon to be released as
1.7.0).
Does it make any difference using another view (Icons, Detailed List, Compact
List)? Can you reproduce this with other machine?

Also try to kill thunar (pkill -i thunar), run it from terminal and check if
any error is given.
