Just to add another comment.
Something weird happened. I did not update Thunar, nor I did anything to fix
the issue... but it's not present anymore for me.

"a_looooooooooooooooooooooooooong_file_name.ext" now breaks into multiple lines
instead of being in just one.

The only action that I did was that I updated the system (via `pacman -Syu`). 
Thunar package was not updated or modified in any way.
