What you describe fits my situation, too. I'm experiencing random but
inevitable lock ups of Thunar when using gEDA, an electronics design suite. I
usually right click a project file to run gEDA schematics editor from Thunar
using a custom command. Randomly but surely Thunar eventually freezes after a
couple of files change. I've experienced this issue with gEDA almost
exclusively so far. And I use gEDA *a lot* (for my job).
