This should be fixed in master now with the following commit:

    Remove exo dependancy (Bug #13326)

    exo-csource was accidently added in the Gtk3 port. Switch to
    compiling it as a GResource and loading that via GtkBuilder.

I'm not sure if there needs to be a configure check for finding the
glib-compile-resources binary so I'll leave this open for a bit.
