This is weird. I mean: I'm running 64-bit XUbuntu 16.04.1 LTS with Thunar
1.6.10-2ubuntu1+patch1 installed from my PPA
(https://launchpad.net/~yuri-sucupira/+archive/ubuntu/thunar1.6.10-fix) and I'm
experiencing no issues at all. I've already tested 2 different USB flash drives
(a 4GB USB Kingston flash drive and a 32GB USB Sandisk flash drive) with
"msdos" and "gpt" partition tables and "fat32" and "ext4" partitions, yet they
always mount correctly and Thunar never crashes, hangs nor freezes, no matter
how many times I eject and mount these flash drives again and how many
file/folder move/rename operations I make Thunar to perform at these file
systems. I also mount remotely shared folders from a samba (SMB) server and
again Thunar behaves as it's supposed to.

Maybe it's not related to Thunar itself. I'm currently using the generic stable
vanilla kernel version 4.7.10 available at
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.7.10/

64-bit users may want to download and install the AMD64 DEBs:
* linux-headers-4.7.10-040710_4.7.10-040710.201610220847_all.deb
* linux-headers-4.7.10-040710-generic_4.7.10-040710.201610220847_amd64.deb
* linux-image-4.7.10-040710-generic_4.7.10-040710.201610220847_amd64.deb

32-bit users may want to download and install the I386 DEBs:
* linux-headers-4.7.10-040710_4.7.10-040710.201610220847_all.deb
* linux-headers-4.7.10-040710-generic_4.7.10-040710.201610220847_i386.deb
* linux-image-4.7.10-040710-generic_4.7.10-040710.201610220847_i386.deb

Unfortunately, I'm not a developer, hence I can't fix Thunar myself: all I did
was to pick Roy Richardson's patch, created the "patched" source code, sign it
and upload it to a PPA I created. If upgrading the kernel to version 4.7.10
doesn't solve the issue I don't think I'll be of any help, sorry. :\
