            Bug ID: 12564
Summary: Thunar frequently stops redrawing the folder view
                    (temporarily)
    Classification: Xfce
           Product: Thunar
           Version: 1.6.10
          Hardware: PC (x86_64)
                OS: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Medium
         Component: core
          Assignee: xfce-bugs at xfce.org
          Reporter: salexan2001 at yahoo.de
        QA Contact: nick at xfce.org
CC: benny at xfce.org, hjudt at xfce.org
  Target Milestone: 1.8.0

The following behavior of thunar is visible on multiple machines, each running
Arch Linux with Xfce 4.12 and thunar 1.6.10:

After an (usually) unpredictable number of navigation steps the main window of
thunar appears to be stuck and not responding to mouse and keyboard input. This
can happen when navigating with the mouse or the keyboard. When double-clicking
a directory or navigating in another way during this "stuck" state, the title
bar changes its title to the correct value. This occurs quite frequently:
During writing this bug report I was able to reproduce this behavior several
times with the following method:
- From the home directory I navigated to a folder 4 levels down the hierarchy
(using the keyboard).
- I returned to the home directory using Alt+Up.
- As soon as I was back at the ~/ level it become stuck.

The main menu can still be used then, only the folder view, the side bar and
the address bar are stuck / not redrawn.

As soon as the window is resized, it is not stuck anymore and can be used
normally.

I have seen people complaining in several forums about a similar behavior, but
I haven't found a bug report related to it.

Compositing is enabled in my Xfce.
