Summary: Thunar hangs when entering IP address to access NFS
mount
Classification: Xfce
Product: Thunar
Version: unspecified
Hardware: PC (x86_64)
OS: Linux
Status: NEW

Priority: Medium
Component: general

Thunar 1.6.4.-2 (manjaro repository)
If I start entering the IP address of a machine to access it's NFS share,
Thunar beings to hang for a good 10 seconds or more, then becomes responsive
but as soon as I start typing again it hangs again as well. If I keep waiting I
can end up typing everything and accessing the NFS share and it all works as it
should.
Reproducing
Youre going to need to have to be able to access an NFS share essentially. I
only have instructions for the client, install autofs, I have version 5.1.0-2
and edit the /etc/autofs/auto.master file to only include "/net -hosts
--timeout=60" without "".
Start autofs and rpcbind with commands "systemctl start autofs" and "systemctl
start rpcbind" without "" of course. Open up thunar, type /net followed by
the IP of the system that has the NFS share and you should see that thunar will
freeze/hang. If I use nemo file manager I do not get any freezing or hanging so
that is how I have narrowed it down to Thunar.
