            Bug ID: 11866
Summary: Don't interrupt copy process for user interaction
    Classification: Xfce
           Product: Thunar
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Medium
         Component: core
          Assignee: xfce-bugs at xfce.org
          Reporter: alexandra.ardnaxela at gmx.de
        QA Contact: nick at xfce.org

Copying or moving files will be interrupted when there's a user interaction
required, for example to decide whether a file should overwritten etc.

I propose to continue copying/moving files in the background which definitely
do not need a user interaction.

Why I think this could be useful, an example:
Someone wants to copy a lot of files which will take a lot of time.
So he starts the process and leaves the computer doing his work.
When he comes back after a while he may find that copy process is still at the
very beginning, interrupted by one single duplicate file name - which is
annoying.

I'd also suggest not to display each message (duplicate file etc.) in their own
window but all dynamically and clearly structured in one single message window.

Kind regards
