As mentioned earlier in comment #12, order in which autostarted applications
are run is unspecified; this is the case especially in Xfce 4.6, since it
starts autostarted applications parallel. Starting a screensaver daemon is best
to do before them so that is why I am against moving it to autostart.
Customizing xinitrc is the best option so far. Se also Bug 4825.
