I'm affraid that I will not be able to reproduce that (I don't have that game)

There are a couple of things you can try though:

1) Use metacity instead of xfwm4 in Xfce

>From a terminal, "killall xfwm4 && metacity&" - Does that fix the issue?

2) From GNOME or KDE, run xfdesktop - Does the problem shows there?
