Summary: xfce should support xcursor themes
           Product: Xfce
           Version: 4.3.x (SVN trunk)
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: Medium
         Component: xfce-mcs-plugins
        AssignedTo: xfce-bugs at xfce.org
        ReportedBy: bjt23 at cornell.edu

This is mainly just a reminder for me, but if anyone else wants to take this, go
for it.

Pasi Orovuo wrote an MCS plugin to change X cursor themes:
http://foo-projects.org/pipermail/xfce/2005-June/014348.html
This should be merged into xfce-mcs-plugins.

As of GTK 2.8, cursor themes will be instant-apply (for GTK apps, anyway):
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=308104
See also:

Pasi's MCS plugin will need to be modified to set the XSETTINGS key
Gtk/CursorThemeName. We should also support Gtk/CursorThemeSize.
