Summary: xftaskbar usability: Eliminate inactive border at screen
                    edge.
           Product: Xfce
           Version: 4.2.3.2
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: Medium
         Component: xfce-utils
        AssignedTo: xfce-bugs at xfce.org
        ReportedBy: alex.xfce at firetree.net

There is a 2-3 pixel border between the taskbar buttons and the edge of the
screen. This makes it much harder to 'hit' the button with the mouse, and
therefore makes it harder to use the taskbar to switch between windows.

How hard would it be to eliminate this border?
Is it a feature of the application or the current theme?
Would it be possible to extend the button's active area to the edge of the
screen, without changing the aesthetic appearance of the button?

(Same comment applies to the panel, too.)

Reproducible: Always
