Summary: fail to upgrade XFCE4.0.3 to XFCE4.0.5
Description:

My operation system is Fedora Core 1 Linux, and the kernel is
2.4.22-1.2188.

I fail to upgrade XFCE4.0.3 to XFCE4.0.5. All packages are rpm package,
and I download them form
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=19869.
I can enter X-windows by command "startx", not "gdm". And the system
error message say, "There already appears to be an X server running on
display :0." Actually, there is no any X server running.

Surely, I cannot get the answer form my friends and all my familiar
forums.
If you want to know more information, please let me know. Thank you.
I'm looking forward to your reply.

When you use startx, does xfce start properly?

To me this sounds like a problem with gdm, rather than xfce.

Because of the absence of similar reports I believe this bug could be
resolved as not_a_bug. Olivier what's your opinion?
