What version of the panel are you using? Did you use binaries or did you
compile from source?

It looks like a libtool problem to me. I'm quite sure it is not a panel
bug.

I downloaded CVS packages last night and build it from scratch...
Not sure which version ( where can I find info about that ) 
Corection about lib name : its --> libxfcegui4.so.3

Did "again" install with update-script and this time I got error again in 
XFCE4-panel...
WM starts with error:  XFCE4-panel crashed ....libxfce4mcs-client.0 cannot
open shared object file: No such file or directory
Ideas ?
