Summary: xfwm does not respect aspect ratio everytime
Description:
xfwm does not respect the aspect ratio of tvtime everytime.
With mplayer which also sets a aspect ratio there no problems.

What does xprop says?

from a terminal run xprop, click on the tvtime window, and look for aspect
ratio:

WM_NORMAL_HINTS(WM_SIZE_HINTS):
                program specified minimum aspect ratio: 300/300
                program specified maximum aspect ratio: 300/300

If an aspect ration is given by xprop and xfwm4 doesn't use it, then it's
a bug in xfwm4, otherwise, it's a bug in the application.

output from xprop while xfwm not respecting aspect ratio:
WM_NORMAL_HINTS(WM_SIZE_HINTS):
                program specified minimum aspect ratio: 427/320
                program specified maximum aspect ratio: 427/320

Just to make sure, what version of xfce do you use?

Also, I can't reproduce the problem using tvtime 0.9.12 with xfwm4 (from
CVS, but that should make no difference)

xfce 4.0.5
Xfree 4.3.0.1
tvtime 0.9.12
gtk 2.4.0
all compiled with gcc 3.3.3
The problem occurs totally random,and xfwm respects aspect ratio ca 70%
when I start tvtime.When i restart tvtime xfwm might respect it,again
total randomly.
I had the problem in previous versions of xfce too,but I can't remember
exactly which version.
As I said above with mplayer the problem never occured.

Beside all my desesperate attempts to reproduce this bug, I really can't.

hmmmm,
maybe it's specific to my hardware and/or combination of software/compiler
that I use...
It's just a little annoying...,xfwm4 respecting aspect ratio is one reason
why
I use xfce :-)
