Summary: Apps opened from Gnome Panel Notification Area should appear in the current workspace
Description:
When opening an application from the Gnome Panel Area (e.g. gaim,
rhythmbox, firestarter), the window should be opened in the current
workspace.

Currently the following happens:

rhythmbox, firestarter: application is opened in the workspace where the
application was last placed

gaim: window is opened up in the workspace where the application was last
placed _and_ that XFWM switches to that workspace.

I have looked at
http://www.freedesktop.org/standards/systemtray-spec/systemtray-spec-0.1.html
, and there does not seem to be speced behaviour.

I would suggest that the application should be either opened in the
current workspace (or screen number) or (?equivalently?) have the Stocky
flag set to true. If this is not the case then users have to click on the
notification area, select the correct work space, and then return to the
original workspace....this is a bit of a pain

Thanks

Richard
