Summary: Volume control plugin: can't change volume
Description:
I right-click on the volume control plugin in the xfce4-panel, and as soon
as I click "Properties", the volume control slider on the panel is set to
zero, though the sound does not really get muted. I can't change the volume
using this plugin until I restart the panel. When I start it from the
console, I get the same message lots lots of time:
** (xfce4-panel:896): CRITICAL **: file vc_oss.c: line 210
(vc_get_volume): assertion `mixer_handle != -1' failed

that means it cannot open the mixer device.
When you do not enter properties, it works normally ?
