Summary: xfce4-iconbox + other WM
Description:
 abstract:
xfce4-iconbox does not read config file when started
outside of the xfce environment

scenario :

I use xfce4-iconbox to manage iconified windows of the
openbox windows manager.

in my xsession file I have (debian ) :
exec xfce4-iconbox
openbox

both programs work well together, the only problem is
that at startup xfce-iconbox displays all windows and
not only the iconified ones as specified in the
preferences. As soon as I right click on the box and
select "preference", the box starts behaving as
expected (== only show iconified windows ).
Then I click close on the preference panel and
everything is fine

You have to run xfce-mcs-manager, the settings manager, at startup.
