What is catfish?

Catfish is a handy file searching tool for linux and unix. The interface
is intentionally lightweight and simple, using only GTK+3. You can
configure it to your needs by using several command line options.

Disclaimer on the significant version bump (1.4.x to 4.15.x):
With this release, Catfish has started integrating Xfce components.
Going forward, Catfish's versioning scheme will reflect the target Xfce
