[Thunar-dev] Japanese characters rendered without hinting

Hi.

I wonder why Thunar renders Japanese characters without hinting on my system
whereas gucharmap (GNOME charmap) does not. Please have a look at this screenshot:

Is gucharmap wrong? If it is not, how can I get Thunar to render the characters
properly?
